Star Trek: Deep Space Nine seems to really want to make O’Brien and Bashir happen, so in “Armageddon Game”, it strands them on a dead planet to have them talk about their feelings. Then, in “Whispers”, O’Brien’s feelings may not be what they seem.

-Armageddon Game is fine. The hair cuts are dumb. I actually like the reversal at the very end, I think it’s a cute little joke that hits me as a sometimes extremely accurate thing that can happen in a long term relationship. I’ve been convinced that my wife watched a movie or something with me, as in willing to bet my life on it, and then I get proof that she definitely did not and it just dumb founds me. Plus, the caffeine in coffee is over rated. DRINK IT ALL DAY E’RY DAY.
Whispers is pretty good, mostly because I spent the entire episode thinking that O’Brien was in a holodeck type situation where they were trying to get information from him, and the program was just slightly "off". It’s another episode that continues the Trek idea that an EXACT copy of someone is some how not really that person, which drives me a little crazy.

-Also see: Thomas Riker. Yeah, it’s a little weird.

-Big fan of your podcast, so I’m sorry that my first comment is sort of a complaint, and maybe I’m just going crazy, but the comm whistle you guys start the show with seems way louder on recent episodes? I try to remember to turn the volume down before I start now, but if not it’s a bit of a blast to the eardrums.
Anyway, love how Richard keeps trying to figure out what the show’s going to become, just based on its reputation. It’s interesting to try to think about the earlier episodes in that way again, without all the context of later seasons.

-Complaints are fine! Complain away! I noticed that too actually–I believe I fixed it.
